How to: Make an easy felt bunny

Hi,

I made my sister one of these for my sister while we were away at imfolozi game reserve (post soon to follow) and she loved it so I thought I would make one for here :).

I APOLOGISE FOR THE POOR PICTURE QUALITY MY CAMERA WAS BATTERY-LESS SO I HAD TO USE MY PHONE...

You will need
Felt
A needle
Embroidery threads
Stuffing

How to
1. Cut out the body (back and front), arms, ears and inner ears out of the different felts.
2. Sew a face to the front piece of the body.

3. Sew the inner ear to the ear and sew along the outside of the ear in blanket stitch.
4. Attach the ear to the part of the back that will be facing the inside of the bunny.
5. Repeat with the other ear.
6. Sew around the arm in blanket stitch.
7. Attach to the back the same way you attached the ears.
8. Repear with the other arm.
9. Sew the front part of the body to the back with blanket stitch and stuff lightly.
10. DONE!

They are incredibly easy and very cute.

BEHOLD!!! The ulitimate book nerd cake! I found it yesterday at the garden show :). Unfortunately my plea did not convince my mom to buy it so my birthday will have to suffer without a book cake ;).

How to make CAT EAR ALICEBANDS

FIRSTLY

Happy Heritage Day South Africa!!! I hope everyone is enjoying braais right now ;)

These were inspired by Teengranny's cat ear headphones :) they are really amazing and I think all teenage fangirl nerds should own a moustache pen and a cat ear aliceband :D

You will need
2 pieces of felt
A loooooooong strip of fabric
Thread
A needle
An aliceband

How to
1. Loosely wrap the fabric around the aliceband and make sure none of the colour of the aliceband shows through.
2. Tie a bit of the thread around each end of the aliceband to stop the fabric from slipping off.
3. Cut out four triangles with rectangles on the end for the ears and cut two smaller triangles out of a contrasting felt for the inside.
4. Sew the smaller triangles to the bigger ones.
5. Sew along the bottom of the first two big triangles.

6. Place these on the aliceband and sew along the top.
 7. Sew around the outside of the triangles in blanket stitch.
8. Repeat with the other ear.
9. DONE!

Have fun little fangirls :)

1 YEARAVERSIARY RAINBOW CUPCAKES

Hi,

Before I start this post I would like to say with GREAT excitement that TEENGRANNY HAS READ MY BLOG! I had the BIGGEST fangirl moment this morning! It just shows that after a year of blogging someone of authority will manage to stumble across ones rambling nonsense ;)

Now for the AMAZEBALLS cupcakes...

WARNING: Do not make these cupcakes if you are impatient as they take a VERY long time to make and are very tedious and attempting to make them will result in a lot of teeth-gnashing and hair-pulling and the overall effect will be ruined!

You will need

Cupcake mix
6 bowls
Colouring (duh)
Cupcake tins
Forks and teaspoons
Piping bag
Butter Icing

How to

1. Make the cupcake mix.
2. Measure it into the six separate bowls.
3. Add the different colours to the bowls.
4. Add one tspn of each colour to each muffin cup.
5. Bake for however long your recipe says.
6. IT'S ALIIIIIIVEEE.
7. Make the butter icing and spoon it into the piping bag.
8. Ice however you want.
9. DONE

Shoutout to all the people who have read my blog since 9 September 2012 and to Scarlett because if teengranny did not exist neither would this blog.

Hi

It's no secret that I love John Green.

I leave you with that to ponder on.

So much depends on the observer of the universe.

1 year

Today is the 1 year 1 day-aversiary of my blog. Who would have thought I'd be annoying the internet for a year! It's madness!

I thought I'd go through some highlights and lowlights and what I've enjoyed the most about blogging :)

HIGHLIGHTS

  • I did spar ladies (which I did yesterday BTW).
  • I got 1000 Pageviews!
  • I made a mom and baby monster.

  • I managed to complete Photo A Day.

  • I revamped my blog and made it look AMAZEBALLS.

  • I learnt to speak fangirl ASDJFKGL!

  • I read. A lot. Why is that a highlight you are probably wondering? Because I'm wierd. That's why.

LOWLIGHTS

These are so aweful they don't deserve photos!
  • I didn't blog for four weeks in October.
  • I didn't blog for two months this year.
  • My first few posts were cringeworthy.
  • I just said cringeworthy ugh.
  • My photo quality used to be TERRIBLE.
WHAT I'VE ENJOYED MOST

  • I get to practice writing (that sounds so LAME)
  • The rest of the world gets to see what I do with my life.

  • I have always wanted a blog.
Thanks for putting up with my rambling nonsense for a year (but obviously it's entertaining rambling nonsense or else I would not be writing this now.)
