How to: make my sister Stella's BEAUTIFUL brooches

Hey,

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF 2012!!! Goodbye "end of the world" hello 2013 :D. To start off the year I am going to do

Every Sunday I am going to post updates of the weeks photo's. I will obviously be taking a photo a day :).

So on to Stella's badges...

She got the idea from "Gifts and Crafts Vintage style". She made these as gifts for Christmas and now just makes them for fun and they are really beautiful.

You will need:
Pinking shears
Different types of fabric and felt

Pins

Buttons

Embroidery scissors

Safety pins or brooch backs

Embroidery thread

Needle

Instructions

1. Cut out different sized circles from the fabric, with the felt circle being the biggest.

2. Place the circles on top of each other in size order (biggest to smallest).
3. Cut a long piece of embroidery thread.
4. Sew the middle of the circles together.

5. Get different sized buttons and sew them on to the circles.

6. Sew the safety pin/brooch back on to the back of the biggest circle.

7. Your finished!

They are so pretty and so simple and make the perfect gift for a loved one!
